DAY 1 IHAHA (CHOBE NATIONAL PARK)
You will do game drive on Chobe National Park which is the third largest national park in Botswana covering 10698 square km, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve(CKGR) and the Kgalagadi Transfontier Park(KTP) respectively. Its known for its famous large herds of elephant and cape buffalo as well as an abundance of other animal species of predators and antelope, to the ever impish primates and general game It does have a mighty and beautiful river: Chobe River which originates in Angola and flows through to Mozambique, all the while changing names through the different countries. You will do a sunset cruise on this river to experience the park and the animals from another vantage point. You will get up close and personal with hippos, crocodiles and a mind-boggling array of water birds. These is where you will see the Sedudu Island and not forgetting the great sun set.
DAY 2 & 3 : Savuti , Chobe National Park
We will head south, away from the Kasane after breakfast @ 0800hrs, further into the heart of Chobe National Park. As we continue our search for wildlife, we will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. Savuti is very well known for its predators such as lion,
leopard, cheetah and even African wild dog. The Savuti Channel has started flowing again after being dry for the last 30 years. The arrival of water is changing the landscape as well as accommodating different species which historically have not been able to survive in the rather arid plains of Savuti. This exciting development has allowed large breeding herds of elephant as well as buffalo to visit the area.
DAY 4 & 5 : Moremi
From Savuti we will drive through to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana which covers swamp and dry areas and will have our packed lunch on our way. For the next two days will be searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for, while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. We will have game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets. Camping will be in private designated campsites with ensuite bush ablutions on every tent
Officially Tour ends on Day 5
DAY 6 :MAUN (Day off)
Maun is a transit point to embark for the Delta and you will have the option of taking a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta.(optional ,clients to pay).
